WTB Model 600 Remington .308
« on: May 26, 2021, 10:44:12 AM »
Howdy! I'm looking for a Remington model 600 in .308 (ideally the one I sold in late 2004 or early 2005 in Raymond/South Bend, it had a 2x Redfield on it). I'm not interested in a Mohawk, just a regular Model 600.  Please let me know what you have and how much you would like for it. Thanks!

Great shooting little guns but they thump a little due to weight and that short barrel is loud. Found a 60s Redfield scout mount for mine.

Keep the wind in your hair, and the sun at your back.

A gun is a tool, Marion, no better or no worse than any other tool, an axe, a shovel or anything. A gun is as good or as bad as the man using it. Remember that.

Some of the more rare calibers like 223 or 350 Remington Magnum definitely go for more, usually the 308 are pretty reasonable. I am definitely not looking for a museum piece, just a good shooter.

years ago when my son who was around 12 years ago i found one in 6.5 remington magnum for $125.00 told him that someday it would be worth twice as much and he should spend his paper route money on it. he still has it and it is worth a bit more than twice as much as he paid. That was around 40 years ago.  a nice accurate light handy deer and elk rifle. one of my other sons i found a 308 win. for $150 and traded it to him for a 22 rifle. he shot a moose with it several years ago. Both of them still have their rifles.

My first real rifle.   Still have it.   Wife took her first animal,  a Moose with it in 2009.  This rifle has taken many types of animals.

Thanks for the offer Muledhunter, but I'm pretty much set on a .308.

I think I sent a PM about the nice Remington 660 308 for $675 at Cascade Pawn in Auburn.  Just putting this msg out in case anyone else is looking for a very nice 308.
