With my bear area being put off limits, probably until the snow flies  would others consider these shooters? I'm thinking the second one over the first

Both are legal and unless you are a trophy hunter....yes they are both shooters, especially with archery equipment.

My area is any buck so those two are over the hill. I'm not a trophy guy so meat is the priority. But yes the 2nd one is the one I would prefer.

personal preference. if theyre bt, hammer down on either. if md, your call. i always say im going to hold out(lots of years i do) but some times i just have to let it fly, regardless of size. love whacking deer

If the season starts to look grim ,I'll dump any legal animals.
Some years don't have opportunity like other years.
I'm not much for waiting.......
