Yesterday we watched the other tag holder shoot a ram which we helped walk him into position and he shot a great old ram. It was pretty neat as he had his two sons with him and they were very excited. We searched all over yesterday looking for the next level sheep, but really couldn’t turn it up. My son was ready to kill a ram and we agreed it’s up to him to decide but wanted an old mature ram.

We headed off this morning knowing of some sheep that were contenders but wanted to cover some country by foot to look into some nooks and crannies for those we couldn’t glass. Sure enough we found four we had not seen before and two looked good. We sat on them for some time as these things do not spook to bad if you are calm. There was this ram and another that almost looked heavier but was very broomed off. This one is a shorter side but on long side, and a much prettier coat. The sheep finally caught our wind and booked around and came above us, which was nice because we could drag it down to the road. We finally made the decision to kill this ram. We got to 120 and had to wait for them to not group up and James let him have it, double lung 15yard and cart wheel sheep. What a great hunt and James my son is one happy camper.
