GMU 2010 OCT 30-7 youth doe help
« on: October 12, 2021, 11:34:20 AM »
Both of my boys 10 and 11 drew doe tags for GMU 2010 oct 30-nov 7 (it's that eastern part of GMU 284) and we have never hunted that area. I have been doing research and there is a lot of private. We live in tri cities so it's not that big of a deal to head up there and start scouting but I thought I would throw something on here first.

Would anybody be willing to help out or know anybody willing to help out a couple young hunters get on some land??? We would really appreciate it and would kick down some deer meat to the owners if we could connect, or maybe trade ammo or something like that.

thanks everyone!!!

There's plenty of State/BLM land in that section, bagging a doe shouldn't be an issue.

Yeah don't overthink it....All the pressure from Modern will be over and there will be deer in easy spots visible from the roads, even when not visible a few hundred yards walking in will more than likely get one or two spotted. IF you don't succeed the first weekend then let me know and I'll meet up with you out there and we will get them on some deer.
