Late Archery Cashmere Unit
« on: October 25, 2021, 08:46:15 PM »
Can anyone give me any insight about this unit for late archery season? Possible campsites, possible deer hot spots, anything will help. Thanks

Was missing pheasant this weekend in Swakane with my son and camping in the rain. Did see 4 hunters pass by with bucks in the back. You will find them in the places you really don't want to hike into. The areas I have been have all been steep 45* or more climbs chasing chucker or glassed migratory deer. Wish I could help you but I've never been deep into the unit.
God Bless,
Scott

Not sure the exact dates of the hunt, but I would suggest hunting higher up. I've been running around the lower elevation areas of 250 along the Columbia and lower Entiat and the deer haven't moved in yet. A few does here and there. I'm sure rutty bucks will be staging right near the snow line, following the does down.
