In the lush jungle a thin machete would be better, less fatigue, but up here they're too thin.

Yeah there's alot more soft tissue plants in the jungle than we have around here. What can you tell me you didn't like about the Camillus one I bought?

It bounced off stuff I wanted to chop, literally bounced.  The sawback was so wide, the kerf was crazy and was more work than it was worth.

Also, I am NOT a bushcrafter.   I just enjoy being out, but I want to get things done and not screw around,  I just do trail camera's and clear stuff for hunting.

I never go out and make survival structures and camp or do stuff like that.

I use this. Cuts way better than you would think. Hunting buddy has a copy branded Gerber.

I have used these alot . Substantially heavier duty and better steel than a cheap hardware store machete .https://ontarioknife.com/collections/machetes-2/products/okc-18-field-orange-d-handle?variant=31397439963222

I have one of those. Didn't know what to think at first, but I have used the heck out of it and have been impressed. Clears brush decently. Splits kindling. When sharp it can really hack through limbs. I can limb tree branches up to maybe 1 1/2 inches way faster than with a chain saw or axe.
Charlie Kirk didn't speak hate, they hated what he said. Don't get it twisted.
