I have actually tried otter for skunk bait when I was in a pinch for bait. Not trying that again!

Nice job 👍 have you tried otter for bait? I’m thinking more for bobcat than martens. Anyways thanks for posting!

Thanks for the good memories!  My grandfather set up a 'rat trap' trap line for me to 'run'.  We actually caught 2 ermine and he showed me how to skin them and then stretched them inside out over a paint stir stick.  I took them home and they stunk up the back porch for years before my mom finally got rid of them.  I was  5yo :)

Caught 3 marten today but a fox ended following the whole line and ate one the trap just some hair left and ended breaking the chain with a marten in it and spent 2 hours trying to find it but no luck sooo just one to put up tonight

Put some bait out today to get him onto that then when he’s hitting it constantly I’ll put a cage there

no later then mid March if the weather is “good” if it’s a early spring then I’ll be done end of February
