I'm surprised the WA didn't go higher. Was a lot higher than normal, but there is a top 3 in the country rocky alive and roaming the hills.

In the country or in the state?

And in a unit that the auction tag winner can hunt?

Well let’s see if the tag holder heads down to Mountain View, Wenaha, or continues to hunt Swakane for a Cali.

Since when has the WA auction tag holder been able to hunt rockys down south? Better invest heavily in the raffle if you want to hunt down that way.

are they allowed when theres a permit tag issued in a year? I was under the impression the new state record was the Governor's tag last year.

No, that was the rocky raffle auction ran by WAWSF.  The gov tag holder basically gets the Swakane, while the WDFW raffle tag winner gets the Chelan Butte.
