About the Seminar and Instructor
While some depend on chance and luck for that once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to shoot a trophy blacktail, Dave harvests them year after year. His success is no accident, and he wants to share that success with you. In his class, he shares his knowledge of blacktail behavior and strategies that work.

Dave Riley was born and raised in Southwest Washington and has over 30 years of experience in archery blacktail hunting, which includes harvesting several Pope and Young bucks. He is a pro-staffer for the shows The Woodsmen and Buckventures and a member of the Lewis River Archery Club. His love for archery includes hunting deer, elk, bear, cougar, and foam targets in the off-season. His passion is hunting late-season blacktail trophy bucks and sharing his methods with others. His goal is to teach others how to successfully harvest trophy bucks year after year.

Cross The Divide only has 25 seats available for this event, so request to register today for this invaluable seminar! Once you’ve requested to register, CTD will email you to confirm availability.

Cross the Divide is the reincorporated entity originally founded as “Divide Camp”, a rustic camp that provided restoration and hope to combat veterans by creating a community of care and support in an outdoor setting. Through the vision, godly prayers and hard work of its founder, Julie Wheeler, Divide Camp started in 2009 as an outreach to post-9/11 combat wounded veterans in the Wallowa Mountains on the edge of eastern Oregon’s Eagle Cap Wilderness.

Cross the Divide relaunched in January 2022 as a faith-based, Christian nonprofit. It will expand the scope of its outreach to all veterans and their families while continuing programming for combat wounded veterans. It will continue to host events in Joseph, Oregon, while expanding to other locations around the United States.

Programs being planned for 2022:
- Wellness Retreat with retired Marine and author of Grounded and Cured, Dave Trombly
- Men’s personal growth retreat with leaders from Summit Initiative
- Every Man a Warrior retreat in WA
- Llama packing trip in the Wallowa Mountains, OR
- Father-daughter fishing trips in partnership with Family Lines out of Leavenworth, WA
- Marriage Retreats for the Navy SEAL Foundation and other veteran groups
- Blacktail Hunting Tactics Seminar in Bremerton, WA

Mission:
Helping veterans and their families navigate the challenging terrain of life, promoting healing, hope, strength and growth by reconnecting to each other as well as reconnecting with nature.

The Board of Directors currently consists of military veterans with Army, Navy, Air Force and Marine Corps experience and a focus on ministry. Two are retired senior leaders with the Navy SEALs; the president served as commanding officer for GROUP ONE. One is a retired Admiral with the Navy Chaplain Corps. Another served with Army Special Operations for 11 years as a chaplain. Our treasurer retired after 32 years with the Air Force.
Modify message
Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5
