32-40 ammo
« on: May 20, 2022, 08:19:03 PM »
Anybody have any leads on 32-40 ammo?

I looked online and didn't see any with the sites that I know are legit, found some on sites I'm unsure of (Ventura munitions, anybody?)

So if anybody knows of a place to buy some or someone's got some they're willing to sell or trade for I'd greatly appreciate it.

Gunbroker has a few listings.
Man, it's expensive.

Saw an add on Castboolits in classifieds. Guy selling 32-40 brass. Probably be best to start rolling your own for that caliber anyhow.

It's actually not even a gun I own it's my dad's, it was his great great grandfather's and he had said the other day how he'd love to shoot a deer with it, so I was looking for a box as a birthday gift. Not gonna be something he'd shoot enough to justify the investment probably but the way it's looking it might be the only option

38-55 brass can be resized and work well. 30-30 can be used also but end up little short after sizing. This is the route i had to take.  Also keep an eye on Wisconsin Cartridge. I was told by them that they have a run of factory ammo coming out soon. Good luck
