Rookie question. But I used to hunt the area frequently. Isn’t Clark mountain unit 244? Basically off the end of white River rd. That all included in the quality hunt tag?

I’ve drawn that tag twice and know the struggles that unit can bring. I had a different Quality tag I drew this year and ran into the exact same conditions and made it extremely difficult. Sounds like you hunted hard and did what you could do. Mother Nature is a bitch and these hunts aren’t guaranteed.

Excellent question and observation. Not a rookie question at all in my opinion.

No. To the best of my knowledge that is not included in the Chiwawa quality hunt tag. Specifically the wilderness sections, those are unit 244. However, migrating deer coming out of the wilderness in this area pass through the Chiwawa unit. At least that is my observation. Wenatchee Ridge is a good example. As is the White River valley floor before the wilderness is entered.
