So damn depressing! First year in as long as I can remember that I wonít have a multiple season deer tag.
Sure wish I would have known prior to putting in for special permits.
Extremely frustrating!
Same here.  Been years since I haven't had a mltseason permit. Kinda screws up my season a little.

I'm in the same boat, always had a multi deer and paid for it right away, pretty disappointed in this years cluster F but leave it to wdfw to screw it up

You guys must have some good luck.  Or I have terrible luck.  In the past 5 years, I've put in for multiseason deer each year and gotten it once.  Once. And I haven't heard boo this year yet...

Talked to Olympia. They said they can find out for you what number you are in the drawing if you call it that. You just need to call and ask. It will take them like 5 min to find it. I didnít have the time to wait and see.

It's too bad these tags can't be gifted.  I have 2 friends with MS deer that can't use them.  I'd be happy to buy their tag!  Ugh.

So there is still a chance.

Third round of multi-season tags to be awarded - 65 surplus elk, 1388 deer
Hunters who bought a multi-season permit application for elk or deer earlier this year, but were not selected in the last drawing, may be one of the additional people selected for surplus elk or deer multi-season tags. Hunters will be notified this week via email.
If youíre notified that you can buy one of the remaining multi-season tags, you have 10 days from the day of the email was sent to buy your tag. Make sure you pay attention to the expiration date.

So the third round already happened?

I love the way it is now and anybody that tries to change it has to come through me.
That should be all of our attitudes.
Cause this is America and a country boy is good enough for me son..."

I don't really know where to post this so I thought I would just use this thread.  My two daughters are on our first joint archery hunt together.  We have come close to multiple big bucks which is a blast.  They love the stalks.

The reason I'm posting is one of my daughter's comments.  The reason hunting with girls is just different and special.

She said "Dad quit wasting your wind directional powder. Just watch our hair." I've been doing that and she is right...I'm sure it isn't perfect for wind direction but still hit my funny bone.  The two of them aren't very good at spitting deer until around 6:30 am.

On a side note....I'm seeing about ten percent of the whitetail compared to last year.  Mule deer also seem lower.

This whole multi-season thing is so maddening, the last day to purchase was a Sunday and then a holiday so theyíre not going to get to emailing people till today? Then here we are 6 days into the season  :bash:

I canít help but to feel like this whole thing was done like this on purpose, hope Iím wrong.

When I talked to a lady at the main office Friday she said since season has already started they were mulling around the idea to just put the rest up for sale.🤦🏻  Typical game department, donít know what they are going to do from one day to the next!
