We are using retumbo in a 6.5 prc and though accuracy is great speeds are lacking.  Itís basically a glorified creedmoor at this point.   140 grain accubond at 2730 fps.  My creedmoor with a 26 inch barrel is faster with the same bullet.

If you were closer I would make you a trade for H1000.

This is a buddies rifle that has a 22" barrel.  Not ideal for Retumbo.......or the PRC really.

Ahhhhh, that makes sense. Maybe a faster powder will produce better results. I have plenty of Ramshot Magnum if your interested.

I appreciate the offer, but this load will work for his hunting purposes this year.  I'm pretty positive he will be upgrading rifles for next year as this one has some serious ejection issues.  80% of the time it fails to fully eject the case causing it to jam in the action when he tries to work the bolt for a second shot.  It extracts the case just fine 100% of the time with very easy bolt lift....then it just won't eject the case.  It is a Mauser 18 standard....I think....and it shoots amazing, just has really bad ejection issues.  The little bit of research I have done shows that this is a common problem of this rifle.  Pretty sure he is going to upgrade to a 300 wsm next year.

Seven shot group with this load had one jagged hole at 100 yards.  Pretty impressive.
