Just curious what do you use to clean out the copper.
Thanks in advance.

Sweets is my go to.   I’m sure there are a lot of products now days that will work but that’s what has worked for me.

Most guys have moved to Boretech non-smell products.  Eliminator cleans carbon and copper. I prefer their C4 for carbon then just a lite use of their copper remover.  I like to leave some copper there but no carbon.  Google Boretech Eliminator.

And throw out the nylon brushes just use brass.

I like sweets too. If it’s really bad I use gunslicks bore foam but ya gotta be careful with it.  That stuff eats everything!

I don’t know if I do it wrong or all of my guns are “foulers” but I seem to spend half the day pushing patches through unless I use something like kg-12. The only thing that’s come close in effectiveness is Montana extreme 50bmg copper solvent, but man, one whiff of that stuff and I’ll be smelling ammonia for days.
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

I have used Lee Shavers barrel break in method and had very good results and very little copper or leading problems. Hope this link works. https://www.modernmuzzleloader.com/threads/lee-shaver%E2%80%99s-barrel-break-in.33040/

I clean every 100 rounds. This barrel has around 450 rounds down the pipe.
