Two cousins scored on a couple of color phase bears. They came to me with the desire for packboard mounts but also wanted a unique look to them. So...both these bears were done with a 'relaxed-jaw' open-mouth form with a traditional stick in the jaws and mounted up to two true Trapper Nelson packs with a bedroll underneath. Heads were mounted in a 'side profile' pose vs the traditional head straight on look like a majority of the ones I do.
These mounts are really becoming popular and a great way to display your bear, especially if the bear is on the smaller side of life and or has damage such as rubbed spots or lots of knife nicks or poor skinning cuts that occurred during in-field skinning.
Thank you to the owner for the work and congrats to you both on some beautiful Washington State bruins!
