WTB-12ga auto
« on: November 14, 2022, 12:33:26 PM »
Ok, I know the title is vague. A co-worker/friend has a 14yr old son who is left handed. He's looking to find him a used left ejecting or bottom ejecting adult sized 3” 12ga auto loader for duck hunting. He doesn't care the make or model, camo or color. Someone on here has to have one floating around somewhere. Thanks in advance for your responses.  And go...

I have a bottom ejecting Ithaca Model 37 featherlight, but it needs some love. The wood is good, but needs bluing. Best upland gun I ever owned. I'd let it go for dirt cheap.  You didn't say the chamber size you need, but it only has a 2-3/4 chamber.

I also have a Stoeger Condor over/under I'd part with, 3" chamber. Throwing it out there.

Both guns I don't use anymore due to health.

Great! I just sent him your post to review. I also asked him chamber preference, which I’ll post when I hear back.

I have updated specs: a 3” 12ga autoloader. Left handed or bottom ejecting.

Does he have a price range or cap or is it 'depends on what it is'?

He doesn’t have a cap, but I know he’s frugal and not gonna want a 2k Super Vinci or anything like that. Throw out what you got and I’ll run it past him.

Not saying they don't exist, but not familiar with any autos that are bottom eject? There's a browning BPS listed in the classifieds that shoots 3" rounds that sounds like near brand new for $600. Not an autoloader, but seems like a good price and place to start a 14 year old just trying to helpful!

Your best bet is to find a LH auto.  The only bottom ejection auto you may find is a Remington 105 CTI, they have been out of production since about 2008.
