Local builder here is starting to build them

"Offgrid fabrication" on facebook, they've made a lot of bandsaw mills, robust build and I think a lot of bang for the buck

I was amazed how quick I hit ROI on my mill, bought brand new. Even with lumber prices starting to look more reasonable considering a new mill might not be that bad. Love my Norwood lm29, my next mill will be one of theirs too. Good luck with the search.

Thanks. Specifically looking for a mobile dimension brand circle sawmill. They used to be produced in Troutdale Oregon and have since stopped oroducing them. They are powered by a vw motor.

We have owned a couple of them over the years. Just got a flyer in the mail as MB owners that the company was bought and they are going forward with building electric mills. They are working on reducing the tons and tons of parts they have and offered to take and rebuild our mill. They even rehired the guy who built most of their mills over the last 40 years. My brother and I were talking about it last night. We will be calling to see what it costs. They even have new blades with many more cutting teeth, they will be so much more efficient and fast I imagine. We have cut an incredible amount of wood with those mills! Will be interesting to see what the electric ones do as well.

My dad has an old mobile dimension saw. They are incredible for cutting lumber. After using one through the years and all the money it has saved me, I’d definitely go buy one if he didn’t have one. I teach woodshop and it is nice getting slab wood and live edge pieces for the kids to use for custom projects.

There is still woodshop being taught? That's awesome.
