Here are my 3 from the westside so far this year.  One was spotted at 360 yards, the other 2 came into a rabbit distress mouth call.   The Rifle is a savage 16 with a 26” heavy barrel in 22-250 sending 55gr Sierra Blitzkings at 3775.  The distances were 360, 120, and 240 yards.   None of these yotes took another step after the shot broke.

This Young male was missing the tip of his tail:

The Female with bite marks on her face:

And probably the biggest male I’ve ever shot: (hide is in the freezer)

This one took a dirt nap through some teamwork on our setup. And have a even bigger one that is gorgeous on the hit list. No downed pics to show but shot was great with the 243. Just ran factory fusions as that is what gun was sighted in for. My buddy made a perfect shot. Just game cam pics to show. I want to get the big one but it is very elusive in the area. But hangs around. But that is the first of the year for our group. We have put a lot of time on this dog playing cat and mouse with a lot of close calls. Finally closed the deal. That is 6 down in this spot since last march.
Maturity is when you have the power to destroy someone who did you wrong but instead you breathe, walk away, and let life take care of them.

Yup, don't need anything too fancy. The .223 has been whackin and stackin for decades!

Thanks.  I do tend to run short on sleep.  I have 3 young kids and work full time as well.  It's not easy jumping out of bed in the middle of the night and scanning the yard when the driveway alarms go off.  But I've lost enough chickens and ducks and cats over the years that i'm paranoid that if I don't get up and check, that could be the coyote or racoon that is about to come kill a few of my animals.

I don't do much hunting besides rats and coyotes.  So it also gives me a purpose to use my rifles that otherwise would be sitting un-used in the safe. With 3 young kids I don't get to go target shooting much anymore.  I also enjoy editing and sharing the videos of the shots.  I'm glad to hear my posts are appreciated.

Oh, and I got another coyote last night. #10   I'll try to get the video edited and uploaded tonight.

I provide a service to cattle ranchers year around that have problem coyotes.  I also provide guided night hunts year around. I sell Night Vision and Thermal optics. The scopes I use are the NVision Halo XRF and Pulsar Merger XL50 LRF HD Binoculars
