WTB, Metal Stakes for flat bed truck.
« on: February 08, 2023, 04:20:25 PM »
Looking for metal stakes for the  side panels or the whole panels for my flat bed truck.
Thought  I'd check here before buying new.
Thanks

I know I could use wood, but was hoping to keep it somewhat original. this flatbed had metal originally. 1949 Ford.
The pockets measure  3 3/8" x 1 3/4" x 4" deep. Those are exact measurements so in order to fit the pockets they would have to be a little smaller.
Total length , I need minimum of 12" from deck height longer ones I could cut to whatever length I need.

Some pic's of the truck. 1949 Ford F4. Just finishing up. Need to treat the bed wood and attach the metal strips.

Metal stakes with wood slats would look sweet on it. 👍

They make tube that fits that sizing, but you may need to call around a bit to different steel supply places.

It made me think of one of my favorite 80's bands, the Georgia Satellites.  I know theirs is a Chev/GMC, but still  :chuckle:
