New Bivy
« on: February 27, 2023, 01:32:56 PM »
Time for a new Bivy sack.
My OR Helium only lasted 3 seasons, probably not for lack of quality, I am really hard on gear for some reason.

So far I'm down to 2

Borah Gear Argon90 w/ side zip.
or
Katabatic Pinion.

I'll use it under a SEAK DST.

Any other options I may be missing?

The MLD is the only other one I've heard of in the ultralight bivy space. I went with the Borah though.

They dont make them any more but you might be able to find a used one, is a TiGoat Raven. I have been using one for a few years and its been great. All 3 of the other ones mentioned are very good also

If you can find a Raven for sale and don't want it, let me know. I have had one since 2009; it has no issues, I love it, and I'd buy another.

The only man who never makes a mistake, is the man who never does anything!!
The further one goes into the wilderness, the greater the attraction of its lonely freedom.
