Outfitting the Wife's New Wrangler
« on: May 12, 2023, 09:02:47 AM »
Any recommendations on where, what type of Soft Top to buy for my Wife's new Wrangler?  Also any other fun additions you would recommend, Bumper/Brush Guards, Doors, Tire Covers, Fog Lights, etc...  Thanks!!  She stayed with me while living in a shed with no electricity or running water for 4 years, she deserve it.   :chuckle:

My wife has a 2012 Jeep and the best thing we did next to tires was put a synthetic winch with a winch bumper. Ive pulled out a bunch of people, felled trees, drug trees to my sawmill and more with it. We have a hardtop so no recommendation for the soft top. Congrats to her!

4 link is a kind of suspension making it flexy, 1 ton axles and 40" tires.

Sorry, I should have added, this Jeep will rarely see mud, rocks or anything close to resembling off road.  :)

I liked some.of the netted doors for summertime, that way you only worry about falling out a little bit

No, the only jeep I have now is a liberty but there's a plethora of places around, both online and in store. That might be the best thing about the wrangler is availability of good to great aftermarket add ons.

I had an 18 Rubicon and just sold it a while back. I had a hard top. A friend of mine who had owned one informed me that a soft top wasn’t a great idea. It gets to hot in eastern Washington in the summer and your head will bake. I never bought one. Mine did have the 3 piece hardtop. So you could take off the back section or take the two pieces out like a t top. I added a 2.5” lift, wheels, tires, steel fenders, winch bumper, winch, wheels and tires. I didn’t add any aftermarket lighting except the headlights. There’s lots you can do to them lots to add on at reasonable prices. I used mine for light off roading and hunting. Never had any issues with the jeep
