Passing through green diamond?
« on: June 07, 2023, 03:17:17 PM »
Noticed most areas I'm trying to get to has the entrance blocked off by green diamond at the start of the road leading into Olympic national forest land. Do you need a permit to pass through to get to the public land?

Also does anyone know if the high steel bridge is drivable in Mason county?

That’s not part of the permitted area. No driving allowed over there but you can hike through. If it’s red dot then it’s accessible to the public by foot or bike only.

Yes high steel Bridge is accessible by vehicle. High steel trestle is closed to public entry and they are enforcing it, heavily.

Just trying to make sure I'm doing everything legally before August. Sorry if they are dumb questions.

Found a different area, there is a forest system road running through a bunch of green diamond land. It's a main road, I should be fine to pass through on the forest system road to get into the state forest land correct? As long as its not gated off
