Salmon will be the next Boise in 80 years or so...but should still be good for the next 20-30 years

Boise?
Logistically I doubt that but I could see it becoming the next Waco if the Mormons and Amish keep moving in.

Too remote to be Boise, unless they can start convincing big stores to come here (tractor supply is moving in now)
Too much of the county owned federally too. Not to say it isnít growing because it sure is, itís just at a slower pace and I hope it stays that way.

I heard that the Amish sent a handful of folks away as the population was getting too high for this small of an area. Whether thatís true or not I canít say.

Lemhi co is 93% public land, and a lot of the 7% private are cattle ranches. It literally canít get much bigger than it is now. Buy land while you can!

Eh I can do without. I havenít had any of their pies or hand pies that are any good. Doughnuts are decent but only if I happen to be right there, I wouldnít drive the 25 min for just them. Now the sandwiches on the other hand, those are hard to beat. Only place Iíve had a better home made sandwich was the fern prairie market in Camas. But to each their own  ;)

This is spot on. Only so much land to be had, and with fairly strict subdividing rules it only makes it harder to find land.

Our piece is officially on the market as of today, the sign my wife painted up got hung this afternoon. Iíve been able to do a chunk more dirt work to get the access better and more building area opened up. Even roasted some hot dogs on a fire with my folks. We sure love the views up there.
