Blind Maintenance and Restoration
This is a great opportunity to learn more about this popular area and help maintain it.
For the last few years the NW Chapter has constructed several new hunting blinds at the Samish Unit
of the Skagit Wildlife Area. The blinds at the unit see a tremendous amount of use during the general season. In
the next few weeks we will be completing an assessment of the blind conditions and gathering materials needed for all
repairs. On August 26th 9am the chapter will be working to
complete repairs, harvest Canary Grass and brush-up the
blinds. We will have Coffee and Donuts.
What to bring
Weed wacker, impact driver with bits, Hedge trimmer, gloves, side cutters, hand pruners, muck boots, fencing pliers.
Our Mission

Preserve, protect, and promote waterfowl, waterfowl habitat, and waterfowl hunting; particularly in the state of Washington

To that end, we teach folks about waterfowl, waterfowl conservation, sportsmanship, shooting, hunter safety, and waterfowling. We also study, advise, recommend, and secure enactment of legislation in the interest of waterfowl, their habitat, and waterfowl hunting.
