Best Bag Style Archery Target?
« on: October 30, 2023, 10:55:10 AM »
I'd like to do some shooting in my back yard. I have a block style target but it can be hard to pull the arrows out when shot from close distances like 15 yards. Being on crutches for a while, I'd like to find a target that I do not have to put my knee on to pull the arrows out. I do have my bow dialed back on the draw weight as it has been a while since I have done any shooting.

Thanks for suggestions.

I've gone through several yellow Jacket bag targets. They make it easy to pull the arrows out. My Block is also easy to pull arrows out.

bulldog targets. Easy to pull from any distance and has a lifetime warranty. I have the doghouse and it is plenty big for shooting 60-70-80.

Ames burlap bag.  Some you need to stuff yourself with plastic bags, some are available prestuffed.

That lifetime warranty costs in the end. $25ish to send me a new cover kit but, cheaper than a new target.

Bulldog for sure, they aren't even in the same category as any other target I've used.

I'll never buy another bag target; tired of them getting shot out so fast, garbage! Get some arrow lube and they'll slide right out of any block target.

Feed store buy a burlap bag
Fill with old blue tarps balled up
Tie wrap shut tight
Spray paint an aim point
Tada
