I got these today from a friend who is checking their trapline. He said that he was 7 miles from the road.

It is true,tire tracks in the picture.
I'll take some guesses though.

He may of been 7 miles from the main line Rd.
7 miles from the concrete.
7miles behind a closed gate.

Around here 7 miles from the "road" can mean a lot of different things. People go around ,bust open,fill in tank traps,on closed gates roads ,which will leave tracks on a closed road. Then winter time you might walk miles down a road,cause of road conditions. After parking on the main line road.
Closed or gated road,FS or Timber company Forester may have drove in. But he was required to walk.
It's hard to say.

But ya it does look like tire tracks in the picture.

Seems odd that you folks are more concerned about the vehicle prints. The large canine prints are what he was trying to share. But it must be those are acceptable. Nothing to see here just keep moving.

Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife are investigating the deaths of six wolves.
The endangered gray wolves were found dead in 2022. Four were found in late February in the remote northeast corner of the state in Stevens County. Two carcasses were discovered about a month later during searches of the area.

Toxicology results revealed that all six died from ingesting poison.
While no arrests have been made, WDFW is continuing to investigate the deaths within the Wedge Pack. According to WDFW, a pack is defined as two or more wolves traveling together in winter. Police are looking for anyone who might have relevant information leading to those responsible for the deaths of the endangered grey wolves.

A reward of more than $50-thousand is being offered.

Conservation groups are offering $51,400 for information that leads to a conviction. Anyone who might have information can report it confidentially by calling the WDFW poaching hotline at 877-933-9847 or by texting a tip to 847411.

Ya I just got an email from WDFW a few days ago.
Saying that. Looking for information.
It amazes me that fawn mortality in these research project is "unknown". Bet your bottom dollar when it's a dead wolf ,they will find it dead.  Guaranteed.
Fawns have GPS collars too,yet they are abducted by alien.
But a dead wolf , guaranteed found.

Definitely a bias in that range rider.  Just like most wdfw folks.  As a rancher myself I support the McIrvins,  They are a great family.  I agree there is a satanic element, worshiping the creation not the creator.  I have had wolves harass my cattle on a couple leases, calling wdfw is not an option.

Big change on my little piece of heaven in NE WA this year.  Listening to the wolves and seeing fewer and fewer deer.  Took the one opportunity I had to kill a basket rack 4-point with real potential to be a big buck.  That's after 27 days of hunting.

Something is going to have to give as theres getting to be less and less deer/elk/moose for the predators to prey on.  Push is coming to shove in short order.

Yup, just watched that last nite.
I recognize a few names in it.
That tim Coleman is one that has his name in the recent commission petition for bear and cougar season change.
He is a hunter,but I never see him concerned about ungulate.
Always worried about predators.
