Just had a rifle come into my local FFL-guy from NJ on Thursday. We waited for 15-mins for the paperwork to clear, then I was approved. Unfortunately, the neighborhood FFL-guy is NOT re-upping his license! :bash:

Last month I drove to Corvalis-Or and bought a rifle through an FFL. They're already sending applications through OSP. At 10:45am I was #244 in the queue. I was approved @ 4:15pm, same day, but I was taking a chance it could run over to the next day. I could have had the gun shipped to WA, but I didn't want to pay any tax to King Insleaze (out of principal).

I too miss looking in the Little Nickel on Thursday mornings, seeing and ad and calling, and then meeting at "X-marks the spot"...

WA has the lowest law enforcement to population ratio in the USA, WSP has all the time in the world, no problem.  A cluster whether in the courts or on the street.
supposedly the new system has an $18 fee that goes along with the rest of the garbage. And that is what it's supposed to fund the WSP. Just another middleman doing the same thing that we had already done with an extra fee tacked on.

How do these new laws effect the purchase of firearms out of state? Do WA residents still need to follow WA rules when purchasing out of state?
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

According to the FFL but I use we can still purchase rifles and shotguns out of state just using the 4473 form that we normally have to fill out. Handguns on the other hand still have to be shipped into Washington and we will have to go through all of the garbage. We can also not purchase the firearms they'll Washington deems illegal. Aren't you happy that somebody has made this decision for you?

Yeah, so happy that people with emotional problems get to push them on us. I'm not going to call them idiots though. They know exactly what they are doing voting for clowns like Biden and Inslee. They are anti-gun, anti-hunting and anti-freedom zealots. It's really telling the true value they place on hunting and outdoor pursuits. Keyboard pretenders..
If I need a permit and education to buy a firearm than women should need a permit and education  before getting an abortion.

Voting for Democrats is prima facie evidence you are a skirt wearing, low T, beta male. Do better.

Not sure if anyone has experienced this or not but a FFL guy I know has had a hand full of wrongful denials the last month. Somewhere in the background end of things...

It took a bunch of extra work to sort out the issues and get guys approved. Guys that have had zero issues in the past...Just a heads up.

Apparently the compliance safety training for 1639 is not valid now and a new cert is required after 1-1-24 for 1143. My cert from 2023 was invalid for purchase. I didn’t realize it changed as it’s the 1st I heard about it. But this one is good for 5 years or until they make more Unconstitutional gun laws. No other Right needs certification.

Has a cop or game warden ever asked someone shooting if they have the permit. I mean u can still borrow guns for "hunting" and most people don't have the permit who already own said weapons.
