Has the draw run I can log in but the it doesn’t look right just says not selected but not in bold and it’s says active
I was drawn for deer and it was very obvious saying "selected"
Elk said the same as yours active and not selected in light text.

I’m in denial I guess lol
mine was the same. Not in bold and says active. That’s ok don’t want to waste my money with this state anyways
Happiness is being in the woods!!!

got drawn for MS elk, had 4 points. If you are selected but don't buy the tag do you lose your points? I believe the answer is yes, but I haven't been able to find that answer online.

hadn't thought much about this tag, figured I wouldn't get drawn for a few more years. The early archery season is same time as high buck, which I'm not missing. I already hunt the full muzzle loader season as my main elk hunt. by the time rifle comes around I'm pretty much out of vacation time and gas money that I'd be willing to put towards another season. So when I actually think about it, probably not worth the cost... Other than couple more special hunt choices, the tag would only get me another day or two in the field.

knowing what will happen to my points will help make up my mind...

There is no such thing as predicting in wa. If you are in the pool you have a chance. If you have a full fall already mapped your odds increase exponentially of drawing.   :chuckle:

yeah I figured you lose them. seems fair I guess.

thinking i'll use the opportunity to put in for watershed with my 13 points. no way I'd go in there with my usual ML tag.

I've got an email into WDFW since my elk points got screwed up somehow.  It showed I had 10 points accrued, then in the next column it showed bonus points -7 , followed by total points 3.  It should have been 10 points, followed by +1 bonus point for this years permit purchase for a total of 11.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Well, it's too early for this year's point to show up. That's all I can tell you. If yours shows 10 points accrued, and 7 in the bonus points column, it should be 17 points total. Looks like yours is being subtracted instead of added? Weird. Here's a partial screenshot of mine for reference:

I called and was told I have to return my archery tag at a dealer and purchase MS tag before entering special apps.  No more returning tag to Olympia by mail as I did last year after purchasing left over.

Curious why would pick up a deer tag before the multi season draws came out?

Convenient for me, at the time, to have all the tag business done.  Didn't anticipate drawing considering my luck lately.  Anyway, unless I can get tag exchange done and all my special apps entered tomorrow, I'll be out of town and off grid until after the deadline date.

Bobcat, how are you getting that many bonus points to add to your accrued points in sheep ewe and moose?

I think I answered my own question.  I'm assuming those are points from prior draw system.  I did some research and went down the rabbit hole of the points system.  Seems like some people had their prior points added to their total and others went to the bonus section.

Yeah, it's the points I had before they changed the draw system from good to stupid, with all the extra categories. I don't know why they separate the points like that though.

Well not so convenient.  Went to a dealer this morning to trade up to MS deer permit.  Even with WDFW on the phone couldn't make it happen.  Was told I would get a call when they get IT sorted out.   :bash:  So WDFW can't even work the permit system.  All my special hunts entered except quality deer.  :dunno:
