I did see the changes I like the way it was but as i get older I notice something to clarify my sight on the end of the barrel or I wear my glasses and the target now becomes a little blurry.    I would like to try the vortex 1x but they are slow getting them out to the retailers.   Anyone have any other 1x options?
I just picked up the freedom RDS from Leupold this weekend for my muzzy. If you call them with the ballistics of your gun they will build you a custom turret out to 300 yards. Not sure I would shoot a red dot that far though but I haven’t played around yet. Sounds like a bunch of manufacturers are gearing up the make more muzzy scopes but there’s not much on the market yet. In all my research the best option is the Freedom RDS right now.

Also here’s a picture of a 439” bill killed on that same tag for inspiration.

509Muley that bull is dream bull for sure.   I have waited so long to draw I would love to find the biggest one in the mountains but it is big unit lots of hiding spots plus lots of private land and have been in contact with a few.  Crabcreekhunter has helped alot and he told me dont let pressure get to me and have fun with the permit and friends and new people I have met on this journey.   But the pressure is very high due to the time it takes to draw one of the permits.  I have already spent 4 days now in the unit getting familiar with roads and hike a few spots just to look around.  this gonna be a great adventure!!!!

You are putting your time in and will find something you like come the end of September.  I’d love to tag along, but I have my own work cut out for me with my quality elk muzzy tag also.  I love this part of those tags, the learning, reasons to get out, exploring, etc.  You dont want to find the one you want now, you want to find it late September.  Those bulls like to pull down in elevation with that rut.  It’ll be a heck of an experience!

Best advice you could get next to getting in the best mountian shape possible. I drew a quality tag and I let it eat me up with everyone’s expectations. Have fun with it. I live in the unit as well as have cow tag and I’ll be scouting heavy pre season to try and get it done before the general opener, if I see anything worth while I’ll let you know 👍🏻 I wouldn’t concentrate on private land too much as there’s plenty of good bulls to be had on public.

Been up learning the area a lot getting excited with about a month to go.    And a lot of people have been very helpful and i do appreciate it!!!   Learning to judge size of a bull is not easy been looking at past bulls cause i don't want to shoot a 320 6 point   and with the help i have received i think 350+ is doable.   dream bull would be 400+ for sure.

Waiting this long to draw any bull tag I want it to be a good one.   But one of my friends said dont let the pressure of getting a big one get in the way of Just go have fun and enjoy what the hunt brings.   And after scouting lots of days I just say to myself just go hunting and have fun with friends and enjoy every minute we can in the woods!!!!   Life is to Short!!!!
And I try to help the desert tag holders cause these tags are pretty much once in a lifetime.
