How do we get a hunter appointed to the game commission to find the true store behind another botched permit drawing and the new allocation of tags

You Don't!!
Game commission are appointed by the governor and if the current democratic candidate is elected your in the same place until they have a party change.

If you're biggest concern with the Commission is hunting tags, then you haven't been paying attention.

The Commission appointment process is a fickle beast, you have to juggle multiple metrics/variables at a time, such as
- whos rolling off and when
- weighing the good or the perfect
-qualifications
-ability to pass a smell test with the governor's office
-connected enough to have some sway
-where they are located (county and region) vs. whats available
-endorsements
-individual capacity to do a ton of work for each candidate

Plus you never know...someone might step down or be removed before their term is up...and you have no idea when that'll happen, so you need a constant and very well distributed list of solid candidates.

The commission, as effed up as they are, have zero to do with the draw results.

Gary
One does not hunt in order to kill; on the contrary, one kills in order to have hunted. If one were to present the sportsman with the death of the animal as a gift he would refuse it. What he is after is having to win it, to conquer the surly brute through his own effort and skill with all the extras that this carries with it: the immersion in the countryside, the healthfulness of the exercise, the distraction from his job. ~ Jose Ortega y Gasset

We have spoiled food in the fridge and you're looking for it in the bathroom just because that is where smell usually comes from.

The commission is completely removed from the permit draws, except that they approve the draws to happen. The screwup for this is on the game dept senior management and their lack of oversight in their critical software. They paid a SW firm to do a thing and didnt pay for a 2nd party to do QC.

I generally support the leaning up of govt spending, but this kind of thing is a downside that comes with it. I hope they get some of the money back for the contract.
What country can preserve it's liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon & pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots & tyrants.
