Anyone recommend any certain type of material in the vibrating case cleaners? Anything that works better than the others? Thanks

Crushed walnut shells is most likely the best.  There are different grades.  I get medium from harbor freight.

Crushed walnut shells has been the best for me. I did not know Hobo Freight sold it; I'll check them out.

I used walnut shell once, mostly i use corn cobb.  I thought the walnut was more dusty.  So I stuck with corn cobb.

I also dump about 2-3 tablespoons of turtle wax car polish into the media.  I let it work through the media before adding casings.  The wax both helps cut down on the dust and it puts extra shine on the casings.

Walnut shells with mineral oil and car wax. They'll be shined up like factory new in about 4 hours.
Best advice I ever got was to have at least half a tumbler worth full of brass before tumbling.

Nishiki rice works great, no dust and easy to clean out of the primer pockets.

I know someone that swears by using white rice.

I use to dry tumble with walnut hulls. Then I switched over to wet tumbling and never looked back.

When I bought my Frankford Arsenal Platinum rotary wet tumbler  I tumbled brass the was dry tumbled for four hours, it looked nice and clean.
I then wet tumbled the already dry tumbled brass that the water came out as black as if it wasn't tumbled at all.

Plus the insides of the cases and the primer pockets were better then new brass.

Thanks for the input. I ordered 5 lbs of Nishiki rice to try and will go from there. I have some really old Remington 222s that sat in the foam box in a basement for years. Doesn't seem to matter what I do, it won't clean up. Probably not worth messing with considering I have a new box of cases already. Thanks again.

Lizard bedding from a pet store or Amazon is crushed walnut shells and is usually cheaper than reloading specific walnut. Works good

I do this also. Any short grain rice.
