Very sad...
Hoping to find out why the boat went down. Did it take a wave wrong, forgotten plug, combination of things? Hope the clients shed light to the situation so we can all learn from it.

That was on the upper Columbia by White Salmon. From the sounds of it they got caught in a rogue squall and took a wave over the stern of the boat. I've heard that the captain got caught by the tiller handle of one of the motors and went down with the boat.

Yep. Upper Columbia. Not the ocean. But still crazy treacherous waters. Extremely sad situation.

I've got a buddy who's a guide and knew the fellow guide, Michael Shufeldt, that went down with his boat. A total shock for the guide community as the victim was only 26. My buddy helped with search and recovery efforts for his friend the next day. Definitely a bad deal.

Praying for the family of the victim.

To give a donation to help the family of Michael Shufeldt, here's the link to the GoFundMe page: https://www.gofundme.com/f/tragic-fishing-accident-support-michael-shufeldts-family?qid=c031a263307cad59657eefdd2b730730

Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him. Like arrows in the hands of a warrior are sons born in one's youth. Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate. - Psalm 127:3-5

So sad.  Was up there this week - you would think a 24 ft boat would be safe at the mouth of the white salmon, just tragic squall.  Thk u for posting the donation link.
