When do they become pets ?
« on: October 21, 2024, 06:17:48 PM »
Thelma and Louise been hanging around the place all year.  Mangled some of the wife's flowers but not too bad.  Out late Saturday so didn't refill the feeder.  Finally got around to it last evening and found them waiting.  First Pic I'm way on the left "sneaking" up to them with my wheelbarrow and feed.  Second Pic found Thelma camera shy so she's offstage 15 feet right and Louise thinking of bedding down on the community bed them deer dug out in front of that log pile. As soon as I turned around Thelma walked to the feeder

Love the names! I have two mule deer that go by Paula and Sally. Both will eat sour patch kids, popcorn, and drink coors light.

This morning, I opened the front door and heard a loud crash. The 4 point white tail that has been eating apples off the tree decided to hang out on the deck and went ass over tea kettle. I think I startled him from not being here at the house regularly since April  :chuckle:.

I hear you.

This is Red.  I toss some corn out from time to time and she has taken to it.  Now when I work outside she shadows me.  I turned around the other day and was startled to see her standing right behind me.

Now that I live in Ocean Shores, I routinely get to pet all of blacktail pets on my occasional walks.

Cute, but between the Plague and front feet knock outs give them some space.

That's funny, same thing happens at my place. There's always several does that hang around with their young ones basically year round. In the summer and early fall, I can barely get the lawn tractor parked back in the shop before they wander in to eat the fresh clippings. It's mostly clover so they are all over it daily anyway, but they really hit it after a fresh cut. They come running when the John Deere fires up and I'll often see them not far off in the distance peeking through the trees waiting for me to finish

This was at my moms in Chelan I’m sure she could have invited them in and when my dad lived in Montana a doe walked into his living room while sitting in his recliner.
I have Man Chit to do
