Ruger M77 MKII Trigger adjustment - Gunbloke?

My Ruger M77 MKII 7mm Rem Mag is an absolute tack driver. But the trigger awful. I don't know what the factory trigger pull on it is, but it's substantial. I was considering replacing the trigger entirely with a Timney or other aftermarket adjustable trigger, but I read on Rockslide about just replacing the trigger spring. There was one link to a site called Ernie the Gunsmith for a lighter spring, but I found another called Gunbloke that sells one that is rated at 1.5#. That would make a world of difference. I'm just leery of random websites. Anyone have any experience with this site at all?

Disregard, just realized this guy is in Australia, and further research shows lots of poor reviews. Moving on.

If you are halfway good with a dremel tool, you can clean up the sear and then polish it.  You should be able to find the steps online.  I've done 15 or so MKII's this way and they end up around 3-4 lbs. Vast improvement over the 7-8 lb triggers they start with.

I installed a Timney in my M77 MKii earlier this year. It was very straightforward and the only gunsmithing I had to do was the post for the safety has to filed down to your fit your safety mechanism. It was slow and I cheated and used an end mill in my drill press to take most the material off and a file to finish it out. I installed and removed the trigger assembly atleast 10 times until it was perfect.

The trigger feels great and has a nice crisp break. You can adjust the creep too.

I found another spring replacement from the US with a good following. It's $20. I'm going to give that a shot before I go with a full trigger replacement.

When I had my m77 mkii, I found a tutorial and cleaned up the sear with a diamond file. Dropped the abysmal 7lb trigger to a much nicer 3.5-4lb.

in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

I have used a dremel to do several m77 triggers and have put just the springs in a couple others. Doing it with the Dremel does take quite a bit of time, but they have turned out great. The springs that I have used were off of eBay and sold by old Beaver gunsmith as quick and easy as the springs are I would definitely go that route first.
