Getting ready for son's desert unit hunt
« on: December 16, 2024, 10:35:57 AM »
Super excited to spend a second hunt this year with my son.  He drew the youth desert doe tag his last year as a youth.

I've never hunted there, but did as much research as I could and have a decent plan.  If anyone familiar with the area is willing to critique it, please send me a pm.

Hey, that's fantastic. You're probably set with your research, but I'll send you a PM with another spot to check out just in case it's not on your list.

Best of luck to you and your son.

I've been involved with several of those hunts in the past few years. Always a lot of fun. Not too hard to get in on action, but will send a pm

Don't stress on your plan too much. Go in LITERALLY any access points and walk around a bit and you'll find something to shoot at. Target rich environment. Feel free to pm if you've got any specific questions though. Tons of folks know that unit a lot better than me but I've got a general feel for it.

You shouldnt have any trouble finding a doe.   I hope you have some decent weather and fun with your son.
