Not in the strike zone, kicker. Blackies/Muleys can have the weirdest racks.

This guys big side has a small eye guard, and the small side has big eye guard. Where’s the reasoning in that?🤯

A lot of times antlers 'balance'. That is to say if tine length is longer on one side than the other, the smaller side would have a little extra mass, etc.

I'd imagine the deers body sends equal resources to its antlers during growth, but how that translates geometrically varies.

I would call that a kicker but wouldn’t judge you if you described it as a dropper :chuckle: Cool buck

I'd say kicker, but it's a super unique buck either way and a great photo. Thanks for sharing

I call that a kicker. We had one on the mountain we saw in 2005 that had a sticker like that on both sides. We found the skull in 2010 and even though he had regressed significantly, he still had the two stickers on both sides.

Drop kicker - Is it a kicker if it comes off the main beams and a sticker if it comes off the tines?

That’s a twist.  I think I think of them as the same except if it’s got some length a kicker and if it’s a ring only point then a sticker. Hmmmmm

I never thought about kicker, and being different, but it makes sense.

I look at times drooping down as drop times.🤔

Is that buck in velvet in the snow?

Found a big dead mule deer buck in velvet still in December on the RR tracks outside the town of Marshall one year when I was a kid. Had about 14 points on each side with drops about 10" long and they forked almost like an upside down rack. It was all busted up but my buddy and I took it home and pieced it together to see what it looked like. It was unreal and had about 180" of antler and spread if it was to be scored. Probably would have scored about 100 typical though!
