But how many people hunt and fish compared to seniors who live on a fixed income. That are just surviving right now.  Before the new tax bill shows up? I'd guess there's more elderly people who don't recreate.

Not to mention the rate increase for utilities.

Ive been retired for 10 years
Myself and my buddies all still hunt and fish
You think if you had to pay Medicare, you’d be eligible for a discounted hunt/fish license
Jeez

Good on you Max. I also have been retired for several years But thinking outside of the box how many elderly and seniors do you know who don't fish or hunt. Along with those folks who live on a fixed income and are watching their money to afford mortgages and power bills.

Wait until HB 1334 (Property tax revenue growth limit) goes thru.

I’m one of those folks too but can’t get a senior hunting license for a few more years

Nobody likes increased prices. Question is this. Do sportsmen Want an increased say in WDFW management?  Many in the department already don't view us as thier main funding source.

If we see a turnaround in the Commission  with Ferguson clawing back some of inslees bad appointments shouldn't we reward that? Something to ponder.
In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Is there any precedent in this State showing a direct correlation between the amount we pay in hunting/fishing licensing fees and the amount of say we have in WDFW management? Or for that matter, any State licening fees and our say in management of anything?

Post merger it has been clear that the game department is gone.  Staffing reflects this as does funding.  That said I feel like all is not lost and there is still some attention to the consumptive users.  Not sure if it is equal to,  greater than or less than 16%.

It is clear there is no voices of reason left on the big game side.  They have catered to special interest groups that are not hunters.
