This last storm system dropped a decent amount of snow. Getting into the high country will be tough in the early part of the season.

The area I just spent a week scouting got absolutely destroyed by flooding and most of the roads are washed out as of now. Hope they can fix them fast but I don't have high hopes.

Bears are out. Saw 4 so far. Our group killed a big one last Saturday. Passed on these two yesterday. Might regret it later. Weather looks good this coming week.

Can’t say much for the Imnaha but we were in the snake last week not much sign on the Oregon side couple bears on the Idaho side. I’m pretty sure this is not how you’re supposed to park your jet boat though.
we figured those boys were gonna have a rude awakening when they came off the mountain

Yeah those boat owners are in for a surprise. I was at Oxbow the weekend before last and going back this weekend for my bear hunt of Pine Creek - Keating units. We fished the Oxbow reservoir a few times, and noticed the water levels have been raising and lowering every day quite a bit. I'm guessing those boat owners must be camped somewhere and don't realize the water level lowered on them.
No bear sign sighted for us, and still lots of snow in the units. Talked to locals and nobody has mentioned any bear sightings or harvests yet. Am hoping some snow melted over these two weeks, as we couldn't get up very high on the last trip. Got into alot of turkeys though, so that was fun. Hoping we see a bear this weekend.

Bears are out. Things greened up a bunch the last couple weeks. Snow is pretty much gone above 5500 feet. Lots of the road systems up high are accessible now. We saw 3 this weekend and one really good one that ghosted us when we tried to move in on him. Should be good hunting from here in out. Good luck!

Crap I wish I could. The hunter didn't give permission. Its noggin was 18 and 12/16". Pretty good for a NE bear.
