Easter Appetizers
« on: April 21, 2025, 05:38:15 AM »
Yesterday the wife and I made appetizers for lunch and dinner.
Crab and cheese stuffed portobello mushrooms. Chunk dungeness crab and shrimp with three cheeses spread to go on Baguettes dipped in melted garlic butter then roasted until browned and crunchy.

We just went straight no frills crab. She got snow crab at the store. Not my favorite but nobody was complaining.

Ya NO! Oklahoma crab sucks! You can't even tell what type of crab they are selling you. Salmon is just as bad, they sell farm raised, color added Atlantic salmon  :puke:

 :chuckle:

We found two places that sell good flash frozen Sea food here but it is not cheap. We have it shipped from Alaska a couple times a year. My sister lives in Newport Oregon and knows most of the crabbers. I have her send us boxes of Dungies every year as well.

Actually found a "very good" Sea food restaurant here. We went on Saturday. Had Steamer clams for the first time in 10 years!

Crab legs and a bowl of melted garlic butter yum!
