49 Degrees North Early Bull Moose
« on: July 07, 2025, 11:11:57 PM »
So drew this moose tag.  Excited to get over there and start some scouting.  Got too many spots I need to try and check out already.  I am curious if anyone knows someone or has horses or mules that would be able to help pack out if needed for either money or some meat if I am so lucky? Strong backs could be welcome also. Trying to find some resources close by in case I can’t always have someone hunting with me. Since I’ve heard moose come in one size HEAVY!!

Congrats on the draw!!!  Tons of info on that unit on here, lots of guys have had that tag.  Smart move trying to line up resources ahead of time, until you have had a moose on the ground you don't realize just how big they really are.

Maybe stick around and share some stuff about yourself and past successful pics, you might meet a few guys and I'm sure there are guys who would love to help out, this is a great community that way for those who are active on here.

I also have the tag and depending on where/when you kill one, I could likely help you pack it out.

I will be back and forth over there as I have family in Spokane. Hit me up and if I am around I will help out. I am sure my brother would do it as well and he lives on the North side of Spokane.

Nice bulls, congrats on them, and the moose draw. Enjoy every minute of it, the planning/scouting is just as much fun as the actual hunting.

PS, how long are your arrows in the 2nd pic?  Prolly just angle/perspective, but they look loooooooooong.  :dunno:

I live in the area. Don't have horses but I can help pack if I'm around. Just shoot me a PM.

Moose are not difficult to pack. As long as you kill them close to the road.

Capstan winch is a life saver.

We drug this bull 1400 ft around three turns to get it close to a truck.

I have the 49* North early bull moose tag as well.  You can hit me up if you need some assistance, my plan is to spend about 20 day maybe more if need or until I get a moose down. I live about an hour away from the ski resort
