My first Bobcat
« on: November 01, 2025, 06:09:12 PM »
Got lucky on Wednesday.   Was hunting solo late after noon atop a slash pile over looking a timber line next to a clear cut.
I saw a spotted cat walk under some dead fall.   I took a quick 75 yard shot, but missed.   The cat then jumped on top of a deadfall, and stood there while I worked my bolt for a second shot.   I shot and he simply disappeared.  It was so thick, I was worried I wouldn’t find him.   I found blood, and followed it to underneath a giant root ball.   Luckily I had my headlamp :chuckle:     Going to make a pelt and hang it in my den.    Sometimes it’s better to lucky than good

Super cool!
