Guidance to hunting new area
« on: Today at 09:39:44 AM »
Hello fellow board membera,

I am heading out to hunt late season blacktails. I have never hunted the Westside and super excited about learning new areas. It will be myself and 1 other friend. I do not have a timber company access permit but willing to get one if needed. Looking to target 651, 501, 505 or any other suggestions. I want to understand the DNR gate system, camping, and overall blacktail tips. I like to find my way but having a really hard time with the gate system and camping spots. I have onx and narrowed down all public camping spots but prefer dispersed camping spots.

Thanks

I’d recommend you get in your vehicle and take a drive to your intended target areas
My best advice is go scout it
Good luck

Out of those GMU's I've only rode the sxs in in 501 I think... In part of the Capitol Forest... Seemed like it held deer and bear... Didn't see any elk sign...
I love you... I really do...
