As the title says, Would like to learn a thing or hundred.
Any place shown would be treated as private property (I will not return without first asking).

It would be the blind leading the blind if you tagged along with me.  But there seems to be plenty of qualified bear hunting tutors on the site.  good luck.

I think your a long way from me, but I'd be more then happy to take you out this fall.  Your more then welcome to bring your rifle and I'll call for you.  And since we're hunting public land your more then welcome to go back there anytime you want, I don't own the land.   :)

Hell of an offer.  I was thinking of asking the same question, but thought it too much of an imposition.  Take it if you can Uncoolperson.

I understand the public land thing, just seems a lot of hunting is a lot like fish, secrets spots and all... and I was taught to respecting those (well, fishing anyway... still learning hunting)

I was out that way looking for deer last year, as long as it's not wintery (snowy) give me a date, place, gear list, lunch requests I'm there.

Thanks!

If you want we can even hunt over your way south of Cle Elum.  I've seen some nice bears in a few areas over there and took a small bear bowhunting over there one elk season.  If we have a cool front move through during Aug, I like going over there at least once.

And that is an offer open to anyone who'd like to go calling.  I'm no expert, I have called in a few bears, but I'm more then happy to take someone...I'm always looking for bait...er backup.   :chuckle:

Like I said just give me a place and date.

If it isn't local to you gas is on me. (heck, if it's 90's accord worthy driving, I'll try to work out getting a hotel out your way and picking you up at your front door)
Lunch is on me, up to and including finding a small propane grill and some steaks.
Box of ammo for the day on me, let me know what you shoot.

This is less bribery or paying and more me trying to carry my own weight, since I can't with experience or know how, I am more than willing to do what I'm able to.

Thanks for the offer, but no thanks, we will be two guys meeting up to do a little hunting.  I'll take care of me and you can take care of you.

I will let you pack my bear out!   :chuckle:  Just Kidding.  Looking forward to it.  If we get one of those typical Aug cool/cold fronts swing through the Manastash Unit, and it works with your schedule, we're on!

I think at this point the only way to up the coolness factor would be to say you were an astronaut or something.

Definitely get ahold of me if something goes down. Got some vacation time and an understanding boss, so I'm pretty free.

Thanks

You guys are so cool, I bow in respect.

This is the kind of thing that gives Hunters a good name, my hats off folks. Good Luck to both of you guys. ;)

If I didn't already have around 20 guys that I hunt with, with barely any time for me-self, I've volunteer some time.

Hey, uncoolperson, your posts on things i learned crack me up, i would be more than happy to help you in your pursuit of bear, deer etc, Be an extra set of eyes and help in your game spoting and recovering, i bow hunt but still love to go shooting, bird hunt and take my g/f deer hunting during modern season. I'm in marysville so kinda close, hunt both sides of the state so anywere is fine with me, let me know, not to early to start scouting. I have never called in bears, just spot and stalk but calling could be fun and a learning experience for both of us?
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

I think Bearmanric was offering some calling classes.  Give him a PM and see if that would work for you.  He will be able to show how to call and how and where to setup.
