What part(area) of Alaska were you in?  Did you fly or drive?

Nice job, congrats on your hunt and little girl :chuckle:  I would love to here more about your process, booking fee etc...  Only if you don't mind sharing.  I am in the process of gathering information and planning on a 2012 Alaska Outfitted Hunt for Bear and Caribou.

I flew to Anchorage, then got picked up by the outfitter and taken to his house in Wasilla.  From there we flew out in his super cub...he has a hanger at his house.  We hunted on the west side of the Alaska range.  A friend of mine is a booking agent and recommended this outfitter to me.  I just dealt directly with the outfitter after that.

Congrats on a great hunt ! You roughed it out, and got a great reward.
I know what you mean with your comments about your outfitter. You hope and pray you really know this guy by your phone and e-mail conversations, but sometimes they fool you a bit.

Some rugged country indeed.

Great job !

To me, there are few animals as beautiful as a Dall ram on the wall !

thanks falcon.  Yeah I was mislead by the outfitter some.  It was still a good trip, but if he would have done a few small things better, it would have added up to a great trip...definetly learned a lot.
