I stepped intot he middle of about a dozen longbeards, all about 8-12 inches this weekend.  It was foggy and I somehow got right in the middle of them.  One spied me and one was in full srut right in front of him.  He was distracted for a minute and the big strutter landed right in th middle of him.  That made him forget about me.  It wasn't long before they put put putted themselves along.

headed off to scout the blues this weekend  :rockin: can't wait, then back down in a few weeks for opening weekend.

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Awesome, I'll be in the blues, youth weekend, with my family. unless, they get teh desire to go up near Kettle Falls this year for youth, but doubtful, WE scouted the blues, 2 weeks ago, looking pretty good....

I also went scouting not far from my house, here last weekend, saw 2 toms! pretty stoked about that, both nice strutters. hopefully i won't screw up this year on my eastern, like i did last year...lord. :bash:

Then on my way home from school today,i had a tom cross the road in front of me, not sure if it had been tame or a wild bird, looked wild. I know they released wild turkey not far from my house in 2001, but im thinking this guy was pen raised, and got out...still kinda cool, and funny to see him run across the road into  someguys yard. :o

We have alot of turkeys on our propertys and I'm looking for a good turkey hunter to help run some hunters for 3 days (April 24-26) and in trade he can hunt turkey on our land for a week. You would only be responcable for taking out 1 hunter.I lost one of my guides for those 3 days. The week you could hunt would be the 3 days prior and the 4 days after the dates I need help. You would be the only one on the property, unless you wanted to bring a buddy.

Got home last night from helping out at the Big Horn Show and it was a fullish moon out, really bright and the gobbler was up the hill behind my house gobbling up a storm at a screech owl!!!  Too funny!
