The First Pacific Northwest Mushroom Festival

The First Pacific Northwest Mushroom Festival will be held June 28 and 29, 2008.
This two-day event  will be held on Saturday and Sunday, June 28-29, 2008, at the Nisqually Middle School in Lacey, Washington.

This event is sponsored by the Hawks Prairie Rotary Club.  All Mushroom Festival proceeds support local Rotary supported community and international projects.

Celebrate the mushroom with food, music, children’s activities and a variety of entertainment.

Just a reminder and an info link about the Pacific Northwest Mushroom Festival in Lacey, WA. I know there are alot of people interested in wild mushrooms on this site and this would be a great place to gather information about both wild and commercial mushrooms.

The shroom festival is the same weekend as the get together. A very good reason to come to both.
Some people spend their entire life wondering if they made a difference. Marines don't have that problem.

Festival celebrates the wonder of mushrooms

The Hawks Prairie Rotary Club will host its first Pacific Northwest Mushroom Festival from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 28 and 29 at Nisqually Middle School, 8100 Steilacoom Road.

Activities include live music, bounce houses, tours of Ostrom Mushrooms farm, cooking exhibitions, mushroom cuisine, crafts and mycology education.

Admission will be $5 for adults (ages 12 and younger are admitted free). To prove you've paid your admission, you'll be given a mushroom button, which are available in advance at a number of local businesses:

Not sure if anyone from here went to the Mushroom Festival last weekend. There was alot of stuff to see and do as well as lots of food. The 90 degree heat did not stop the people from coming out. The place was packed. Here are a few pics from the event.

I would never go if I had to listen to Cisco Morris. I think he and Steve Irwin should have gotten together and built their own Jungle !!  :chuckle:
