I shot it when It came out in 2006.  It was a great bow when it hit the market but there has been some improvements on the newer models the last few years

I have both the XL and the shorter Trykon. The XL is a sweet shooting bow and is very easy to set up and very consistent and forgiving. The only thing that I can say bad about it is compared to the shorter model it definitely is heavier. I use it as a back up bow as the shorter Trykon carries better. Sure wish the shorter model had the same shooting characteristics. Hope this helps.

I been shooting the trykon (32 a-a) since they came out in 05 I beleive and I love it. But I think its time for a new hoyt for next year. I will turn this one into another carp bow if I can get some 50# limbs for it.

I have one that has been sitting in my garage for a couple ears. It is in like new condition. Has a 29" draw length. $200 if you want it. Haven't even looked at since I put it there. Bought it for son-in-law and he bought a different bow. PM me if you want it.

I have an XL.  It is a great shooting bow and  you can't go wrong with it.  The only con, it is a bit heavier than the newer models.  One other con might be that you have to order new cams if you want to change the draw length.

Budd 500 is preatty steep man. you should be able to find a trykon all day for around 300. if you are looking for a used bow there are the new maxxis on ebay for 600 to 800 ready to go. the trykon is a great bow and I have taken many animales with one but dont sell yourself short. also like xxx said the draw has to be right or you will have to order new cams.
work hard and reap the reward or dont and get left behind!!!

Best bow ever.  Usually buy a new bow every year or two and have quit since owning the XL.  Got one over near belfair you can shoot if you would like!
