Marsh Unit 1 near Potholes

Anyone been down around Marsh Unit 1 this Duck season ?  Thinking about giving it a go this weekend.

I have really noticed more birds this week. Should be a few if you make it over!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

I'm interested in this too.  A buddy and I are going to make a trip over that way this season but we want to go during prime time

Was thinking about starting there Saturday morning since this is the 1st trip of the season now that deer is done. Have been hunting the marsh for close to 40 years so that is where I know to go the most.

There have been tons of ducks there.  especially on the north side of the unit.

I know they say you can't go in until 4am, I guess now you better get there at about 9pm to get a spot.  I think the hunting would be good on a Thursday or Monday or Tuesday =).

I hunted it this morning and it sucked! Surrounded by people and only saw 10 birds even thoe it was kinda foggy. You guys have at er tear em up I only lasted 1 hour then left. If I am not shooting every 10 minutes or so I am out I get bored easily and there is better huntin out there :)
