I'm curious if there is any shed hunting for regular joe's in the blues?  It seems to me that the snow would keep the elk down on the private land till way after the bones hit the ground?  I would love to antler hunt the blues but always assumed they all lay  on private ground, my question I guess- is there any public land in the blues that has elk on it this time of year?  With the competition I don't expect a straight answer but have to ask anyway.  I've been out on the west side this year a few times and my old grounds have given me nothing so far this year :bash:.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

I think you hit the nail on the head. There is some public ground where they hang out but I would guess it gets hit pretty hard. I havn't bothered to mess with it much

Hello Buckmaster,

You mentioned that you have relatives who know a bunch of farmers in the Dayton area. I have a late season buck permit for that area this year and would love to get some assistance with  getting access to private property. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

Looks like a very successful day in the hills. Did you find those with the help of a shed dog?
