you sound like a prime candidate for some snipe hunting.  It's not in the wildlife management plan so there are no bag limits yet.  Shoot machias a pm and maybe he will hook you up.

They have really wild flight patterns and fly low within the trees.  Seems that open chokes worked best for them.

SNIPE ARE IN THE REGS.  LIMIT IS 8.  SAME SEASON AS WATERFOWL

Best tasting bird there is.  Better than huns, pheasants, chukar...anything.  The word "sniper" comes from old British hunters that were skilled enough to kill them regularly.  If you get a chance to go, jump on it... :tup:
